JULIE RUIZ

Julie Ruiz, EA, joined ATLAS at the Partner level on January 1^st, 2025. She serves ATLAS clients with 24 years of experience and has dedicated 15 of those years to ATLAS CPAs & Advisors, specifically serving clients in tax at our ATLAS firm’s Tucson location.

Julie graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Accounting in 2000. After college, she worked for an EA focusing on individual taxation, then worked for a CPA and complemented her skills to become knowledgeable about business taxation.

Accounting and business expertise runs in Julie’s blood, as it was her mother’s profession, and her father was an entrepreneur. She notes, “Being part of a large family has shaped my personality to be somewhat of an extrovert. I love to mingle, engage, and get to know people. I have learned that getting to know my clients helps me really understand their perspectives, values, and needs. It helps form a solid connection. In my career, this perspective has helped me build working relationships with strong foundations.”

Her background encompasses a holistic viewpoint of the tax and accounting industry, cultivating a wide skill set to better inform all ATLAS clients with accounting solutions that fit their needs. “I most enjoy accounting for small business and enhancing our client’s overall experience; and satisfying clients by providing personalized guidance,” Julie explains.

Julie’s choice to Partner with ATLAS CPAs & Advisors is contingent on the alignment of ATLAS and her personal values. “I am excited to represent my Tucson team in this new role. As a Partner, I am excited to make positive contributions to ATLAS and help lead our company to great accomplishments and success which will also benefit our clients, employees, and the local communities we serve,” Julie expresses.

Outside of the work environment, Julie promotes self-care and shares that passion with her family and friends. She understands the importance of maintaining good health, which further enhances her guidance to ATLAS employees and clients. Julie also enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones and cherishes the blessings that each day offers.
